C172 Mixture & Throttle upgrades

I really disliked the Saitek Throttle Quadrant. It was okay to start with but it didn’t feel right.

So naturally I decided to enhance the realism and buy some genuine throttle and mixture levers. I redesigned the panel and here is how it turned out:

The levers feel very good and allow me to have a better feeling for the aircraft. The panel is designed with raised text. After spray-painting the panel, i remove the paint form the raised parts. This allows me to add backlights to the panel and illuminate the text, just like in the newer C172 models.

The levers are attached to two 100mm sliding potentiometers. These are configured as a variable volage divider. The output is then connected to an ADS1115 16-Bit ADC.
